Wal-Mart's New Tween Makeup Line: Is 8 Too Young for Makeup?

The latest media announcement to have moms up in arms? Seems Wal-Mart is rolling out a line of makeup specifically targeting the tween market called GeoGirl.
How old were you when you started wearing make up?

My DD is close to turning 7 and I can't imagine letting her wear makeup a year from now. I think I was in 8th grade when my mom finally gave in and let me wear makeup. She never taught me how to wear it though, so I didn't wear much...still don't actually.

I didn't start wearing it until 8th grade either and like you I didn't wear much and still don't.

To use for play & stage productions - ok. To wear out and about - NO.

Yeah, lip gloss is fine even at 11 because it is also moisturizing.

Great to have you on the board :) I used to wear lipgloss at that age too. My favorite was the lipsmackers shine ones. What does she like to wear?

TY ... You know, she has so many. People come here and bring lipgloss to her. As I remember she uses and likes lipsmackers too. But she has a lot now, so I have difficulty to say which one is her favorite. LOL
