I'm Rebekah, 29 wife to Darren 34 and full time bonus mom to Nathaniel 10.5 years since he was 1 year old.
Hi, I'm Debbie, my DH is Jayson, and my 2 boys are Joshua (9 and my soon to be 4th grader. He starts Thursday) and Daniel (4 - he's going to be starting pre-k this year). We live in Southwest Missouri.
We just got back from Joshua's open house at school. Let me just say I am a wee bit worried about his teacher this year. She had written instructions on the board one set for the kids and one set for the parents. (fine) So one of the parents didn't quite follow the instructions that said for you to sort the papers you signed on the small table and leave them there, he had the NERVE to try to give her the papers. She said to him VERY LOUDLY "What do the INSTRUCTIONS on the board say to do with these???" I was shocked to say the least, as it seemed as she was trying to humiliate the poor guy! I'm just worried that she is not going to be able to handle Joshua (he has ADHD, and is on medication for it, but can sometimes be a lot to handle). I am just hoping that her strict structure will be good for him and not totally throw him in to a tailspin! I did not say anything about this in front of Joshua though, he seems to be very excited about this teacher. So fingers crossed this will be a great school year for him!

I agree as a working mom, there are never enough hours in the day to do what you want! Your boys sound like mine, stubborn just like me! LOL :)
I'm Theresa in the Chicago burbs. I've got two on this board and two older ones. Ds11 is starting middle school, 6th grade here. Ds9 is entering 4th. We had ds9's meet-and-greet today and I couldn't be happier. Last year, ds11 had a great homeroom teacher and a fantastic math teacher. This year, with some switching around, ds9 has the same combo. We also had his current homeroom teacher (and ds11's old homeroom teacher) as ds9s math teacher last year. So, nothing feels new. I love them!!
Yep, that's comes with the job of "Mom".
