OK considering most I ever accomplished on ice skates was the 1 foot scoot aka I can only pick up one foot the other isn't strong enough to balance on ice. the younger I was the better I skated think

That's fantastic Lori! We took our kids to the lake last year and couldn't get them to even stand up on skates! LOL! Sounds like your girls are doing great with it.

Congrats to Alyssa on the invitation to join the play!

Okay, let's see what I can brag about...

Macy is turning 8 this weekend and her teacher is so proud of her. As you probably know, English is not her first language, but she is still on target to pass 2nd grade. Not that she'd "fail" since she has an IEP, but she's doing pretty well on her own merits.

Fletcher just started on meds for ADHD which has helped him tremendously! He is repeating Kindy this year, yet he hasn't improved at all in his reading. His teacher said she's been banging her head against the wall trying to figure out how to help him but, now that he's started the meds, he went from a level 4 reading to a level 7 in just two weeks. She's planning to really push him for the rest of the year now that he can concentrate. His behavior is SO much better at school.

Felix is my preschooler and he has just started reading the Bob books!! He is also adopted and is having a lot of emotional issues lately which can be so emotionally draining for us all, so it's like a little rainbow in our day when we get to see how bright he is. (Not that he's the first preschooler to read, but that's new to us...he's going to pass up our bio son in reading pretty soon. LOL)

Wow, that's awesome!! Like the other posters, it's hard enough to lift my foot over the other skate, let alone spin around on the ice! Congrats to both

That's great to hear about your little guy Gwen! Does Malachi have the same affinity for music? Do you think Aaron will be musically gifted?
