The danger in Cup of Noodles

I heard this story on NPR as I was taking the kids to school today. Would you believe that burn center doctors see 2, 3, and more cases of burns per WEEK from those cup-of-noodles products? And not just at one particular hospital - this was all over the place. Very interesting story (as far as cup-of-noodles stories go!).

If you use these, please be careful!

ewwwww :( I have seen these at Publix but have never thought to buy them. Back in the days when we had little money I bought ramen noodles and those things never fill you up so I don't bother w/ similar products.

It's like ramen noodles, but in a styrofoam cup that you can just heat in the microwave...or maybe you pour the boiling water into them? At any rate, the doctor interviewed said that they are top-heavy and the water stays extremely hot for a long time. Plus, when they spill on someone, the noodles stick to their skin. :(
