We really enjoyed reading Percy Jackson. J's not enjoyed the Lost Hero or the Cane books as much as he did the Percy books.

I'll have to look at The Egypt Game. I'm not familiar with it.

Ds11 is currently reading The Dark Tower and Other Stories by CS Lewis. They have a book report due every month in a different genre or category and this month's is favorite author. He didn't like all the stories, though he wanted to try something different from Lewis than his Narnia series or religious writings. Last month they did mystery and he read The Hound of the Baskervilles. He's not a huge mystery fan either, unfortunately. He loves fantasy and that's what he'll do

I picked The Egypt Game b/c I had read it in school. Actually I remembered my teacher reading it to us. So when I saw it in Scholastic I couldn't resist :)

Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Somehow the kids were wondering what the ultimate answer was one night at dinner and I said "42" Now my oldest is finding out why that is the answer! (I did have to order it from the library for her.)

He just finished a biography of James Audobon for school and is reading Dragon Orb: Firestorm. Today he is about to start a book called Walk the Rim for history.
