Let's Do a November Roll Call~Everyone Check In

Since I've been MIA for awhile I thought it would be nice to do a roll call.

Everyone check in, newbies, regulars and lurkers...tell us where your family will be celebrating T'day this year.

We are not becoming foster parents. We are adopting through the foster care system. Some of the steps might be the same but we will be receiving one permanent placement who will be legally adopted. I don't know that it is admirable. It just seems like a great way to expand our family. We have decided that we are comfortable with a 9-13 year old male. Zeph is excited about having a sibling and supportive.

I am on the other side of that scope, I love T'day and all of the food that comes with it. :) Since we didn't celebrate Christmas growing up T'day was my fave time.

So you guys are working towards becoming foster parents? I have a friend who is a foster parent. That is such an admirable thing to do. How does Zeph feel about it?

Cheryl - DH, J & D in Ohio. We are celerating in our home. My parents and niece will be here. DH's parents, sister's family, and aunt's family are coming. I was not expecting DH's side this year.

Theresa, in the Chicago suburbs, and mom to four:

dd21, dd19, ds11 and ds9 (the two boys being my 6th and 4th graders, respectively). We normally celebrate with my sister (since she insists on having turkey and we're vegetarians) but this year she will be in Florida at a tournament with her boys so we'll be home alone. I'm excited because dd19 is coming home from college (dd21 lives at home). :)

I'm Rebekah 29, wife to Darren 35 and full time bonus mom to Nathaniel 11 (had a b'day on the 1st) since he was about 12mos old. BM is gone, her choice.

We are hosting Thanksgiving this year at our new house!!! :) I am super excited!
