I know I've been a little quiet around here lately.
I'm about 80% now, still very tired.
Been busy here too.
DS6 just got his OT approved for next year.
Soccer, karate and swim will overlap for 6 weeks.
Wow - at least you have some flexibility with homeschooling, but that's a lot! We finished indoor soccer yesterday. I asked ds9 if he would miss it, and he just looked at me and said, "well, I still have my soccer skills class once a week, and outdoor starts in two weeks, so....."
We're good, after two long (but fun) weekends away. First, I spent a weekend with dd19 at her college five hours away. This weekend, we were a few hours away at my MIL's 70th. Last night, ds11 and his youth group visited a "Child City" called Mooseheart, which is like an orphanage. Definitely gives them some perspective.
Standardized testing in IL starts this week. UGH! It's not so much the testing itself, it's just the crazy emphasis they place on it- the "rah rah," over-the-top craziness. Luckily, it doesn't count at all for ds11. For ds9, this actually affects his middle school placement (he's in 4th grade, but 5th grade ISATs don't come back soon enough to be used for middle school decisions). All the teachers and administrators are in a frenzy....
