My 2 color hydrangeas are almost done blooming but my big white lace one on the side of the house is just getting started. :) I will have to post some pics. I was very proud of my pink/purple on this year, it was the most beautiful it has ever been.

The lady who lived here before us planted almost everything, except lilacs and day lillies. I have: catnip, roses, black eyed susans, echancia, hens and chicks, butterfly bushes, naked ladies, sunflowers, azaleias, rhodendendrons, mini-roses, tulips, daffodils, and many, many things I have no idea what they are. Right now, roses are going great, shasta daisies, poppies of two varieties and a few others. I planted daylilies, scarlet runner beans (which are blooming) and some of those onion things with the purple flowers that look like the big fireworks. Catnip annual poppies and sunflowers are basically weeds at this point and would take over everything if I didn't pull them. I leave some, probably too many, because the bees like them and I want to encourage the bees all I can. Oh, and we have planted clover in our pasture which is invading the yard, much to my delight. (A monoculture is unnatural and uninteresting. I like variety.) Sorry for my spelling on those flower names, spell check doesn't have them and I am a very phonetic speller (which means spell check is my best friend!)

sounds wonderful! Lilacs are one of my favs. We had a lilac bush at home when I was a kid so when I finally buy a house I intend to have a lilac bush.
