How often does your child bring home graded papers?

My 5th grader brings home a few papers each week. Most of his stuff goes in the 5th grade portfolio. We only see those at mid-term and report card time. The portfolio has to be signed and sent back.

We've only had to sign one regular paper. It was when the "entire" class scored low on a test. The test came home with a letter from the teacher - lots of whining and complaining on her part about it. That was months ago and I still can't get over that she did that the way she did...

For my 6th grader, once every 6 cycle days a folder with papers is sent home. Have to sign the folder.

My daughter -4th grade- brings home folder of papers once a week. I also have to sign her daily planner each night, or she's gets a checkmark (too many leads to detention). But her teacher doesn't believe my signature is my signature, so I have to initial the planner each time I sign it. And we get the "class did poorly" sign and return on tests, as well as checking over school papers and homework to make sure they're correct before turning them in.

The teacher doesn't believe your signature is yours? Does she think your daughter is writing your signature?
