So in kindy parents are REQUIRED to stay until teachers get kids, in 1st grade suggested. There is limited playground supervision in the mornings and he had issues with crying back then I got in the habbit of staying. Last year we had a HORRIBLE winter and kids were inside from December to March and parents can't wait inside so I have left him before but that was inside the school. I'm not a hovering parent but I never cared for things I saw in the playgroud. I know its a part of growing up but Liam with his issues it worries me plus he is a follower not a leader but we discussed it and since he hasn't given me any reason NOT to trust him I will now be walking him to school and leaving...GULP.

If he misbehaves he does need to hear it from the school not just me so if I am there to stop him he isn't going to learn and well being that most parents don't stay unless they have younger kids don't want to be THAT mom so this is our trial run. My only worry is really they don't blow a whistle or ring the bell and the ONLY reason most of his friends line up is I tell him to get in line he tells them so we will see but thats really, IMO at least, a school issue. I never got why they don't at least let these kids know its line up??? The old VP did but think the new one was relying on the parents but in the colder weather most kids are just dropped off so many days his teacher comes out and half the class not in line yet and she leaves. Liam gets nevous so figuring the FIRST time he is late will make him be more aware of the time and I am getting him a watch so will see how this goes...my baby is growing up!!!

So was today your trial run? How did it go? I remember the first time I dropped Nathaniel off in the carline instead of parking in the parking lot and walking him in. I was a wreck!
