Weird choice of "school spirit" events?

M's public school has announced two "school spirit" days for this semester.

But in saying memorial day is more important then those other holidays u are dismissing other cultures that those people fought for freedom for. Yes men and women died protecting the rights and freedoms we hold dear but by dismissing signifagance to a jewish high holiday or chinese new year or kwanza or even st patricks day is that in some ways disrespecting those rights that they died for and also ignoring our history. Most imigrants came here for the freedoms we have then to say yes u are free to have ur chinese culture or ur jewish religion or your irish or african american heritage but don't expect us to respect that that's not what at least my idea of america stands for. And btw if u ask an actual irish american what they do for st pats its more a boiled dinner with family less a drunken binge

I love this! As a nonchristian in part of a large mostly creationist homeschool community, the christinaity abounds and they never notice how prevelant it is with acitvities and events.
