Fun Post- What's on your child's walls?

What do your children choose to put on their walls? Do they go for decoration and style? Do they go for nostalgia or special meaning? Is your child in a room that was decorated for them and perfectly happy with it that way? At what age did they start asserting themselves in what their room would look like?

DD 15 has multi-photo frame with pictures of friends in it, another with photos from different plays she's been in, a giant poster of David Tennat who she is totally in love with not only from Dr. Who but from his Shakespearean work, a print of the Tardis (Dr. Who again) exploding painted in Van Gogh fashion and little scraps of paper with various quotes taped in random places. These change regularly based on her interests and mood. Right now, we're seeing lots of Sherlock Holmes quotes as it's her current obsession.
The boys' room has been morphing from its original aquatic nursery theme to more of an outer space theme.

DS was very much into the solar system at one point, so we took a long sheet of black paper (like what teachers use to decorate bulletin boards) and made a solar system on it, so that hung on his wall for a few years until his little brother demolished it. :( Now the walls are bare.
Both DDs (9 and 13) still have the bedroom we originally decorated for t hem.
DS 13 has mostly posters -
Giant Dalek (Doctor Who); Top Gear, Beatles Abbey Road; Poisonous Mushrooms of the World; It's a Wonderful Life Movie Poster; Stonehenge; Solar System; Robotics; World Map; Lego Brickfair.

Fun! I remember putting up collages on poster board with my favorite bands (New Kids on the Block...hahaha). Of course I also had a teal sponge-painted wall too. Boy do I feel old now.
Wish I had room for my own TARDIS!

Every once in a while, the stand-up tardis goes on sale for $20 and free shipping - You just have to check back once in a while until you get a good price -
My 5 yr. old likes to decorate his walls with marker.
