Math enrichment

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for math enrichment for my middle schooler. I'm NOT looking for anything competitive, or any drudge work. But, I feel l ike he has some talent and I wonder if I should be doing anything to develop it. He just took the AMC8 math test, with almost no prep, and got the highest score in his middle school. Now, he was nowhere near perfect, and there are a score of really competitive kids at our local college (a math group there) who nailed the test.

How about a 24 club? My eldest really liked it. It's not complex math but good for math minded kids with quick recall. Maybe a chess club would feed that part of him too?

I forgot part II-

as far as a 24 club, I've never heard of that. What is it?

Chess *would* be good (I don't play, but he seems to really like it and I think he's okay at it) but the MS scheduled it the same morning as math club and honors orchestra. Sigh... do they think?? Talk about drawing from the same pool! As it is, he only makes 20 minutes each of the first two, so he could hardly split it three ways. :(
