When do you guys start weeding through books... or do you
We actually had an architect draw up plans to convert a screened in porch to a library to deal with this problem, but realized it would be too expensive to do and that we'd miss the porch.
For really old and less important books, we take them to the swap shop at the town transfer station or give them to the library. The other ones just get stacked on the floors of people's rooms (DD has a stack that she uses as a nightstand.) We're pretty cluttery here, but may be moving, so I am going to make the kids weed out the less valuable books this summer and give them away.
I do think having a Kindle helps. I haven't bought a book for myself in more than a year, so maybe if everyone gets some type of electronic reader, we will be able to cut down on the clutter at some point.
