Hey moms and grandmas, come on out and play.  it's recess time!

Happy April Fool's Day!  I have only co-workers to worry about today since the kiddos are on their way to AZ and trying to find ways to fool each other in the car Wink  I'm at work, 5 out of 7 this week.  Might as well keep myself busy, eh?  I have 3 goals for every day while they're gone:  exercise, cook something healthy, and practice violin (learning "Yankee Doodle" for a summer program and this is a good time to get it nailed down).  Met all 3 goals yesterday, LOL.

Here are the happy travelers wishing us Bon Voyage yesterday.

DS had a terrible time falling asleep last night.  His mind was going a mile a minute with history bee thoughts.  He is still sleeping.  I have a  full day of school and chores planned, so we'll see what gets done.  I'm a bundle of hopes and nerves.  I'll update tonight when we get home.

Oh Wow, how they have grown! They all look very excited to be off on an adventure. You can have so much fun at home without the chores of childcare....no laundry, no feedings, no constant entertainment by kids. You will have tons of time to practice entertaining yourself and learn lots on new songs! Throw yourself a no kid party! Pray a lot of thanksgiving prayers for it too! Your Dad want a few more kids? He can stop at my house and fill that van up! Except right now I am using them for nursing care needs. They are a cranky staff, from over work here, so I gotta go buy them stuff at MOA so they will not leave me in pain alone, with no one to help me!  I am being drugged, now in pain and sent to Dr.'s who like to cut....never good, never cheap!  See they use pain against you and drug you so you will sign papers allowing more cutting, than you really ever wanted! They are like hyenas or viultures just waiting till the lion is wounded so they can attack....dang Dr's. The beast is down....lets cut her! Give her more drugs till she will consent! Plus they need a new BMW this year too, the golfing will be good soon, need new equipment and some fun golf trips! God Help me, I fear the Dr.'s!  Maybe a few of there kids could come in and entertain me, if they make me be cut up....as a freebie, with my confinement in hospital rooms with crapy bad food....probably just jello too...$100 Jello.

I hate this.

Haha...at this point I'd like to send mine off for a while...stuff backed up at work, making no progress on decluttering the family room...boxes of clothes, toys, and knicknacks to be sorted...made worse because dd15 discarded a bunch of stuff from her room yesterday and I need to take the useful stuff out (like tools!) before throwing away the rest. It's 11:01 and I have to start lunch and do my time card (due tomorrow, but they snarl if it's that late) AND do ds21's time card (he forgot to give me the hours despite 3 reminders, so I just called him and told him I'm holding his chocolate bunny hostage until I get them...for a person who has a reputation of being smart, he seems to have an unusual amount of trouble with the little stuff. I walked to work with dh and spent an hour hanging out with him because it is his turn for checking out the equipment in the morning. Then I walked home. This afternoon is printmaking for dd19 and music lessons for both dd's. We may be home late if dd19 needs to work in the studio. Fortunately I now have the magic script that lets me work remotely, so I'll take a laptop just in case. Deborah

My oldest has to take a herbal supplement to fall asleep, due to her active brain never wants to settle down. Me and her theater teacher have both taught her relaxation skills and tried to teach her to self calm to be able to rest...but still sometimes it just does not work. So we found a herbal thing that helps. Yet she is very cranky some mornings as a teen that needs more sleep, yet has to go to the High school on there time schedule not hers. Then Algebra in the mornings....no wonder it is killing her GPA! I will just be glad when it is over. I think her testing and talents will be good enough that even not having a 4.0 will allow her to get into any college we can afford anyway. The herbals are at target....sleepy meds...it does help, with that sort of brain to calm a bit. I also have her drink tea if she needs it. HTH. H

Unless Sue and her DH plan to be naked and give up eating for the next week, I think she'll still have laundry and cooking to do.

Did the MRI come back suggesting surgery was necessary?  MY mom has had 2 knee replacements.  She shopped around for a surgeon and wound up with one who listened and gave options.  The most recent surgery she had 3 options -orthrooscopic, something or a full replacement.  Once she decided on a full replacement, then she had option on the type of replacement.  She had about 2 weeks to make decisions.  No pressure.  She didn't want painkillers so she just took Advil.  She had painkillers in the hospital, but none after that.  They never asked her to sign anything without going over it first with her and my dad.    She said the hospital food was good- a menu each day and she got to pick her meals and snacks.  No jello for her.  When all was said and done between the doctor visits, hospital stay, surgery costs, at home physical therapy and office physical therapy, plus misc. medical supplies they paid less than $1000 out of pocket.  Maybe you should shop around since your experience is sounding less than optimal.

This isn't something I would consider supplements for.  His mind was racing with excitement and nervousness over one specific event. We have found a regular bedtime and waking time, plsu no screen time an hour before bed and daily physical activty is the best for all of us to get a good nights sleep and to fall asleep quicklyl

Bwahahahaha, no unnecessary nakedness, and no starvation!  Much less laundry than normal though...and much less cooking too because I really only have to do one "meal meal" since dh sleeps most of the day.  I just have to fix a good dinner and send him off to work on a full stomach.

They're trekking southward through Illinois now and figuring out new ways to prank each other for April Fool's Day.  DD fell asleep and when she woke up but was only halfway awake, they told her they'd had to turn around and come back home because something important was left behind.  She evidently believed them, LOL.  When they stopped to get lunch, the kids put clear packing tape sticky side up on Poppa's seat.  So I guess DS is the only one who hasn't been pranked yet.  I'm sure she'll think of something good, LOL.

Yeah I actually know one knee person in this town...but do I want to be seen by him in surgery...NO, I don't like surgery. I am still waiting before I get MRI's and stuff. Just x-ray, other stuff to come. I need time to think about it. Today staying off my knee more, advil only worked...if I am up on it then both my knee and back hurt...due to weird-er body position and the cane to walk with, as the good leg that takes more weight now is the bad leg so the bad leg is getting more weight and that makes my back hurt too. I am a mess. Dr's scare me...that is what happens when you are surrounded by them from birth, taught to lie to them in childhood, and never feeling they trust what you say...and you don't trust what they say. So I feel really anxious right now. See more healthcare later in week...I am sure not that is my new norm, seeing pain not going away with ice, rest or time. Not happy...not at all. Feel like eyore now. How do you spell E ORye??? E before O except after a donkey on pooh says he is sad. H.

You would hold a chocolate bunny hostage? Wow...does that work to get things done? I wish I could go buy half price bunnies....sad. So sad.
