Tuesday Homeschool Recess 3/5

Hey moms and grandmas, come on out and play.  It's recess time!

Well, I think I might be starting to feel better.  I chilled much of the day yesterday...managed to survive orchestra...chilled much of the night at work.  I almost feel human, except for lingering congestion and coughing my chest into shreds every once in a while.  My appetite seems to be back, which is I guess a good thing, LOL.  Let's hope I sleep well today and still feel human tonight!  DH seemed much more himself last night as well, so hopefully he'll be able to go back to work tonight as well.

Nothing on the calendar for today for the kiddos.  The snow isn't supposed to hit us, though from the looks of the map, some of you are no doubt shoveling out.  Sorry!  Trying to persuade dd to not be allergic to going outdoors.  She needs some sunshine to help her moods, imho.  Sun we are supposed to have today...and maybe even a wee bit of sap starting to drip.  Tomorrow for sure on that!

Some mail problems in moving my mail to new computer. It is amazing how long computer problems take, when you have to wait for satelites to move or improve so your info gets sent back to Earth! Did get some stuff on my system and trying to figure out what else needs on my computer for my use only. If anyone adds an app or program to my computer, I am going to throw a big tantrum like no one has ever seen! I have already told everyone this is for work and not home use....you have the old one. Yet, someone has already asked, because they will ask even when you say NO. But no one ask to use Dad's work computer, ever. Maybe it was the breastfeeding, they forever think what is mine is theirs for use! Maybe bottle feeding is better, for mother autonomy long term! If only we could trust the manufactorers not to mess up the formula and I was not so lazy at night that creating a bottle was to much work!

A real Snow Day for kids today. Yet not for the home schooled...and I think the music teachers still will accept students even with the snow. My house still has dishes, messes and kids who need to be directed on the right path repeatedly thru the day...so no such thing as a snow day off for home students/and teachers. Unless I send them all out to play, in the Spring I lock the doors and only let them shelter in the garage with fluids and ice pops! Yes, I am cruel if I need to be!

Lazy day here. The snow looks beautiful.  The plows have already been down our street once.  The city was prepared.  It's suppose to warm up the next few days, so I bet it will melt quickly.  Zeph is out building a snow fort, but I don't think he or DH have plans to go out and shovel.

DH is feeling much better.  I am taking today off of unnecessary housework.  I realized that if I take 5 minutes to load the dishes after meals, and 5 minutes to wipe down the counters and then 10 minutes to put away the dishes after the washer runs, the kitchen stays clean!  Laundry and dusting can wait a day.

DS finished 2 online history lessons and some European History studying.  After lunch we'll tackle math, vocabualry, 2 world history lessons, start a lap book project, and our new book.  I'm trying out Audible's free trial.  Today we will start listening to Chasing Lincoln's Killer.

Maybe a family game night.  We've been wanting to play Catan again.

Snow!  This is the most snow we've gotten all season!  Poor Frodo can barely run in it it's so high in the yard.  Zpe had fun building 2 snowmen.  DH just crabbily went out to shovel.  It is so beautiful!

LOL Heather.  I think I can honestly say I'm glad this storm missed us.  I love snow...but the thought of it melting soon seems appealing.  We've had a good snow cover for several weeks now, so enough could be enough.  Now that I said that, some blizzard will sneak up on us and punish me, I'm sure Undecided

Us too...way more snow than we have gotten all winter at once, finally in March! It is fine with me, better late than never! It will melt faster in March and not be as dirty if it melts away faster. My doggies were in heaven! I had towels out to towel them off from all the snow they had covering them. We put the parka on the little pup, he gets chilled, spoiled indoor boy. Kids have enjoyed it. Happy kids make me happy!
