Hey moms and grandmas, come on out.  Weekends are for fun too!

Wow, everybody woke up before the "mom alarm" this morning.  How odd.  Usually I have to drag them out of bed on Saturdays.  They did get an extra half hour, as there's a guest group leading church today so we have no responsiblities that necessitated going early.

The cold I'm incubating is coming along nicely.  Must remember to take cough drops along, LOL.  I sound just lovely, but of course, unlike dh, I don't lie there and moan and groan and act like the world has come to an end just because a germ attacked. (And I watched him yesterday...still...just cough without covering, let the germs fly.  Seriously?  You're an adult and you don't even try to prevent the spreading of germs?  I'm going to make him do my mandatory infectious diseases education modules from work next time one pops up...LOL.)

DD has a new dress to wear today...one that we bought on our shopping spree Monday.  It's royal blue with black lace and looks so pretty on her.  I really loved it when she tried it on and I'm glad she chose it (vs another one the same color that I didn't like quite as well).  I hope she feels pretty and loved all day.  She finished a project last night...she made a book of inspirational quotes and Bible verses and she's going to leave it anonymously for a church member who has cancer.  I know he will appreciate that a lot.

We have bowling this morning.  Just waiting for the washer to finsh so we can get showered before going.  Not much else planned today.  Just hanging out and enjoying family time.  I got the kitchen cleaned yesterday and it feels great to be caught up on dishes and errands.  I'll work on laundry today and Z has some studying to do, but a pretty lo key day here.

Zeph has his bowling league this morning.  Just waiting for the washer to finsh so we can get showered before going.  Not much else planned today.  Just hanging out and enjoying family time.  I got the kitchen cleaned yesterday and it feels great to be caught up on dishes and errands.  I'll work on laundry today and Z has some studying to do, but a pretty low key day here.

Coughing, hacking, and sneezing my way through my Sunday.  Happy happy joy joy.  I've been playing things low-key for the most part.  Got lots of computer stuff done...LOL.  I feel so slothful.  DD spent the night at a friend's house and is now home studying.  DS is helping an older man (who has cancer) from our church tap his maple trees.  It's a bright sunny day, so good weather for being out and about.

Zeph was happy as a clam to receive his bowling shirt.  it is almost too small, but it was all they had and they wanted eveyone in shirts for the team pictures.  I just have to remember not to dry it.

Sorry you're sick.  DH is also.  His chills are gone and he's slept for 12 hours the past 2 nights.  His throat is still sore.  I'm going to try to get him into the doctor tomorrow.  He;s got a busy week coming up with a ton of talking. so I hope there is some wonder antibiotic that can fix him up (Zithromax maybe?),

Today was lazy as well.   Sleeping in and napping.  The pups and I went to the doggy boutique for a harness for Buffy,  bully sticks, and cat food.   Buffy and I went for a short walk and the harness does seem to help her self correct her pulling.  It's the first walk with her that I have enjoyed.  The fresh air and sun felt great.  DH showed us his London pictures an gave us gifts-chocolates for me and a Big Ben 3D puzzle for DS.

I am here for homework reasons! You knew I would find a way to make this place a necesity to be at right! I found my way here on my new mac laptop. So I am here to practice it's use. It is a new learning experience and I find myself needing to look at the keys as my keyboard is not the same as the old IBM computer. My little girls are so thrilled that because I got a new computer they get my old computer! Now...they are divising ways to allow more use time....like, we will do sock match and folding chores while we watch a PBS video on "our" laptop! Fine by me if the chores are done and the laptop is being used educationally, even if it is edu entertainment. They enjoy the Kratt brothers and animal adventure stuff! I have a lot of practice to do and more set up but it is comming along. What a headache new tech can be! My little one was all gung ho about school today(yesterday when we discuses new ideas in learning) as I have been preping more and giving her much more new learning experiences not same old dull stuff. She really likes it when I mix it up. Yet now she woke a bit dehydrated so slow to go. Giving her time and fluids then we can get to her fun schooling at home school! I hope she is not sick, will have to wait and observe a bit more.

It is snowing and very pretty outside. Yet the other kids did have to go to area schools. Not a snow day! It is light snow and the city was prepared for how to handle that so the buses could run and the work can be done! So I am sure all the kids were not happy about that city rediness and snow clearable stuff! I gotta go figure out how to make the type larger and stuff. Maybe I will return for more practice, depends on if I gotta be teacher, nurse, or just Mom....looks like all of the above, we will see.

Happy Monday to all!

Wow! Was she sick that she dehydrated overnight? I don't even think I would know the sign of dehydration if I wasn't looking for it. Hope she's better soon. Enjoy your new lap top. DH is working on his (for work) and DS is working on mine-online history course- and I am using the desk top.

Heather turtleemom, LOL at remembering not to dry the bowling shirt.  if you do, you can make Zeph a pillow from it Wink  Glad the new harness is helping Buffy be a nice walking dog, not a pulling dog.  Leashes are so necessary, but I used to love my woods hikes with my German shepherd...we were miles from anyone and he never had to be leashed.  Freedom Cool

I hope your dh will feel better soon.  Mine finally went back to work tonight.  He took Friday and Monday nights off and only finally started feeling better late Monday evening.  Hopefully he won't relapse!

Heather hbka20, LOL, using us for your "homework".  I hope you enjoy your new toy.  DD would love a Mac but I can't see that fitting in the budget anytime soon!  She can buy her own when she grows up, right, LOL?

Hope your sick little one feels better soon.
