It's at Johns Hopkins in the pediatric oncology dept.
Wow! Congratulations to her!! A hospital nursing job at a widely respected institution! Is she thrilled?
It is hard to have them far away, but it sure helps when they land in good cities that are fun to visit. I've never been to Baltimore but my dh really liked it. And at least its only an 8 hr drive/ <2 hr plane trip. Imagine if she had gotten a job in the west.
If she isn't thrilled with the distance from home either, she can continue to job hunt.
She is more excited about going--she does have one friend there & the friend said she could stay in her apt. so she won't be totally alone.
How impressive! As a nurse, she must be thrilled, but I imagine it's bittersweet to see her go. Don't give up on her coming back though. My sister and I both ended up moving back to the midwest after many years away - she was in Texas for 13 years, and I lived overseas and on both coasts, but we always hoped to come back and be by our dad, and we did (until he got married and moved away, lol!).
I hope you have a wonderful few months with her and
Congratulations to your dd - I think it's great news, esp. to work at such a prestigious hospital.

Now I can understand why my aunt, who is from RI, moved to Nebraska to live near her only DD when she retired--she didn't want to be so far from the DD and grandchildren.
Congratulations to your DD!
Congrats to your DD!!!
