Great to 'see' you, Kathy! Sounds like life is good for all of you now. Glad you're getting settled in your new job. Sorry to hear about your dd's divorce but it sounds like she's moving on. LOL - we just traded our 10 year old mini van in for a Honda Accord. First time in probably 18 years that we haven't had a mini van!

Nice to get your update! I too haven't been here much - lots going on and I'll probably do my update shortly. So glad you found a job so quickly, especially in this economy. It's good that experience and maturity still matters!

Tom's trip sounds like a wonderful adventure - oh, to be young and free! :-) Good for your dd for want to go back to school. I'm sure it will mean a whole lot more to her after having been out so long.

Hi Kathy!

Welcome back, sure have missed you!

How exciting to hear your career turn around was fast and comes with new friends! Is it any further of a commute then your last? How was the snow driving this winter?

I did not realize Erika had her divorce still to endure. Everything I read about Wegmans says she is with a good company!

Tom must be doing fabulous to afford an European vacation!

June will be just around the corner! Are you planning a family picnic?

My husband drives the same car as you! My boys like to rib him about their Dad the soccer mom!:smileyvery-happy: Ours is silver what color did you get?

The van is a very light blue - very pretty!

My drive to work is about the same- big difference is the old office was in the 'burbs - while this one is Downtown Buffalo- I have not worked downtown in 30yrs ! so that was an adjustment too- parking in a ramp is rather nice as I don't have to clean the car off. I caught the tail-end of some winter storms and did OK - my Hyundai has traction control so I do ok!

Kathy, I'm so happy to hear that you found another job - and so quickly! I remember that was a worry for you. Sounds like you're a hot commodity.

Thanks for popping in. It's nice to "see" you!

What a nice update - especially that you were able to find a new job so quickly! It will be nice to get the double pay with your severance package for a while. I had to laugh at the buying a van, lol! We are a two minivan family - have had them both for many years (they're 11 and 12 years old) - back when we had four kids and four carseats, lol, since dd20 was a tiny 8yo and still in a
