I'm so glad that DD is happy in her new relationship!! Her ex sounds like a real tool. I know it wasn't an easy experience for her to go through with the divorce and all, but I hope she's happy to be rid of him now.
Congrats to yDD on the raise and title promotion. You must be so proud!
(((Hugs))) on your job. I'm sorry you weren't able to get the one you wanted. I would think that seniority would win out (especially when you've been there for 25 years!!). :(
Sorry to hear that the ex-sil is getting under your skin again, but its very good news that dd isn't upset by the news. Wonderful that she is so happy and doing well. Just wondering, how did you find the FB page of the gf?
And good that younger dd is doing well too. Hopefully things will turn around soon for her dh.
Kellie - after spending some time helping the person out this week on the assignment I wanted, I'm thinking this may have been a blessing in disguise! The caseload is VERY heavy and we're not even into the busy months yet. Maybe just helping out when my caseload is slower is the best of both worlds!
Acute rehab is both of what you said. We get a lot of people with either spontaneous or traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, hip fractures, etc. You may be right about floating to the different units, although the one I've floated to the most is my least favorite - not because the work isn't interesting but because I'm not that familiar with things there. Everywhere else I'm much more experienced, and if I float to my old units it will be nice working with my old colleagues.
I have to reluctantly admit, re: the facebook page, that I've looked her up a few times. I don't see her full profile, just her profile pic and now, with the new timeline, the cover pic. Her cover photo was a picture of the ring, and all the congratulatory comments are public. I'm a sucker for self-torture - I read them all! (not proud of this, LOL)
The 3-day ride is informally organized by a friend of a friend, going up the N. CA coast, inland to Cloverdale, and looping back around to the start, with 3 nights of camping. Sure wish it was B&B accomodations instead! ;-)

Cal, like I tell dh when he has a stroll down memory lane, and gets apoplectic, just tell yourself it was all for your dd.

I assume that you'll have a SAG wagon meeting you at the campgrounds? Tell me you're not carrying your gear yourself in panniers!
