Congrats to your dd on the new job! is she planning anything special in her time off between jobs? I'm glad she found something that will allow her to have a bit more of a life - all work and no play is no good at any age, but especially when you're young.

Congratulations to your dd! I agree that it's nice she chose to put some balance into her life. Was this job she's leaving her first one out of grad school? I think first jobs are probably the hardest because a person with a strong work ethic really wants to make the best impression so as not to risk losing the job - but often that means putting in lots of extra hours (my dd is doing the same thing). It seems to have paid off, though. Nice that recruiters found her resume and helped her find a job. I know it's a lot harder now than it was 4 years ago. I think it's picking up a little, though - at least that's what I'm reading in the news and also seems to be the case for my dd, who is scouting out opportunities in Portland, OR. I hope so, for her sake!
