I can't remember if I've asked this question here before, but how common is it to send out announcements for college graduation?

We actually made something up on the computer. It was an announcement of Jason's graduation last June (not that we expected anyone to drive 3 hours up to the Chicago area for it) and an invitation to an open house we had the following weekend. We kept it small - only family and close friends. And since we don't have a big family to start with - we probably only sent out a dozen announcements. Even though we knew he planned to go on to med school we still wanted to have a celebration - he worked hard in college!

We received the same type of thing from MSU, and I view it as just one more thing someone's trying to sell us.

We don't send out announcements but that's not because we don't view it as a milestone worth celebrating.

Bravo and congratulations to your oldest darling daughter, Sharon!

How exciting to be finishing up her last semester! Has she already got plans for her summer?

Any chance she will be moving home?

My oldest chose to go to his cousin's wedding( the weekend )he graduated from UF. So no family to worry about coming to that graduation nor did he send announcements. My youngest told me he only wanted to participate in a med school graduation. So no announcements sent by him either. They both got gifts from family who knew.

My mother goes to everyone's graduations with or without announcements. :smileyvery-happy:

My boys went to their cousins graduation from UF and Furman. Missing ones from NCState, UNC, and NYU.

We did get announcements from one of my sister in laws boy when he graduated.
