http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2012/11/the-case-for-drinking-as-much-coffee-as-you-like/265693/# "What I tell patients is, if you like coffee, go ahead and drink as much as you want and can," says Dr. Peter Martin, director of the Institute for Coffee Studies at Vanderbilt University. He's even developed a metric for monitoring your dosage: If you are having trouble sleeping, cut back on your last cup of the day. From there, he says, "If you drink that much, it's not going to do you any harm, and it might actually help you. A lot." ... The most recent findings that support coffee as a panacea will make their premiere this December in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Coffee, researchers found, appears to reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes. Did your college students learn to drink coffee at home? How many cups of coffee do you drink per day?

Neither kid drank coffee when they were at home but both drink it now....although I don't know if either drinks it everyday. When they are visiting they will sometimes have a cup in the morning, sometimes not--possibly because my coffee is not up to ds' standards LOL.

Ds is a coffee snob, he's very particular about freshly ground fresh beans brewed "properly" etc. His favorite coffee house is a place where every cup is brewed to order with a cone filter using water that has been boiled to precisely the correct temperature (yes the wait is long!) I don't think that dd is that particular about it...and I'm hardly particular at all about my coffee.

Jason is a coffee drinker - probably 2-3 cups a day. I don't think he started drinking coffee til he went away to college. Justin may occasionally have a cup but not often. I may have a cup a few times a week. I've gotten back in the bad habit of drinking a soda in the morning when I get up. It's diet soda but still...
