The frost will be on the pumpkin..... Do you have a favorite color for the season? Have you seen how jeans are all everywhere In more than denim colors? Have you or your college student purchased any? What do you think is your college student's favorite fall color? Have you heard Neiman Mqrcus is joining forces with Target for a Once in a lifetime collection? :smileyhappy:

No colored denim yet for me. So far I've only seen it in skinny jeans, which would not be flattering on me! My dd, who does have the figure for skinny jeans, wears mostly black with some whites or ecru so I don't think she's going for colored denim either.

I had not heard about Neiman Marcus+Target....I'll have to look into that one!!

I still have old offwhite, purple (dusty), brown, tan jeans...I have worn the offwhite and brown ones a lot, regardless of current fashion. DS only likes the dark blue ones - hey, it took til freshman year of college for him to wear jeans! (he wore cargos for years). I love the red leaves off many maples, but this year I think ours will just turn brown and drop with the drought.

We were married in the fall and had beautiful fall colors at our wedding - mainly hunter green, accents of wine and deep orange in the flowers. It was lovely. I've always had a fondness for fall colors and the season (I'm an Oct birthday and dh is Sept).

I'll have to ask dd19 her favorite fall color - no idea!  I haven't purchased any colored denim nor have the girls. I think we just don't shop enough and dd19 rarely wears jeans.

Haven't heard of the collection...

DD was home this weekend & had a cute pair of mint green jeans, but they were skinny & I definitely can't wear that look.  We also a flyer from Old Navy (where son works) that showed many colors of jeans.  I might try them if they are a darker color like wine or royal blue--if they aren't skinny.  I'll have to go in & look.  I do like fall colors.  I just wish it would stay fall and not go into winter--I dread the cold.  I should really move to Florida.

About three yrs ago I gave away two pairs of colored denim jeans, one burnt orange and one mint green, that I finally outgrew.  They must have been 18 yrs old.  No skinny jeans for me--I'm not skinny enough to wear them nor can I stand the tightness, esp. in the crotch.   As far as I know, neither DS has purchased any colored denims recently.

My girls are so tall (6 ft and 6 ft 1 in) that they usually buy whatever jeans are long enough in the legs. This usually means plain blue, and not the pretty fall colors that are in. I think Ash has a burgandy pair she found somewhere. They both like skinny jeans. I saw an eggplant and a dark olive at Kohls that I liked alot.

I love the colors of fall. The drive to DD19's college take sme through wine country and the fall colors in the vineyards are so beautiful. My girls don't really get too excited about the colors of fall, but they love the tastes of fall (Pumpkin lattes, apple pies, etc)

my understanding is Neiman Marcus loaned their design team to Target for a holiday collection that looks fabulous at a great price.

Hi Sue, We have a new neighbor, they told me they moved here to get away from the heat, they were from Missouri! They said it was 107 the day they packed the moving van! I bet your trees have been wondering where the rain went! Is your dusty purple have a smoky look? I like browns too! Especially with turquoise or rusty oranges.

Hi Theresa, Do/did you do a special celebration for your DH's birthday? A fall wedding does really open up the color palette for a dramatic day! The greens I have been seeing this fall have more of a aquamarine tone then the darker hunter. Is your younger dd still doing campaign coverage? She must be seeing loads of red white and blue :smileywink:

Hi Liz, How great your dd got time off to visit at home. Does she have weekends off? How much time will she get off for the holidays? Has your son become a clothes horse working retail?
