Yes it seems like only yesterday :smileywink: The TV show: The Jetsons premiered! Do you remember The name of the robot maid? Were you a fan? However! The original run lasted 24 episodes, but like its Stone Age counterpart, The Flintstones, it has been revived, made into a feature-length film, and become a part of the culture (“Ruh-roh!”) of us and generations after. maybe this should have gone under you know your old when! :smileywink:- Speaking of space did you get to see The piggy back trip of the shuttle on the way to the new home in Calif? They took off from our island and looped south so everyone could wave goodbye from the beach. My oldest got to visit it when it landed in Texas. Kinda sad Mission control did not get to keep a shuttle there.

I know the name of the maid because we thought our competition of our capital equipment that we make looks like her! LOL I liked the Jetsons and the Flintstones and Scooby as well. Did not see the shuttle trip...

Well, I am 48 so I don't remember when it first came out, but I sure remember the show. Do you remember when they only had cartoons for a coup,e of hours on Saturday morning and you had to get up early if you wanted to watch them. It really made those few cartoons pretty special.

Gee, thanks Elle, for reminding us how OLD we are.  Yup, I remember regularly watching the Jetsons & Flintstones, but not the name of the maid.  I also remember recording the top 50 hits playing on the radio, on the good ol' 8-track tape recorder, each Saturday morning.  And my favorite comic strip was Nancy!

Never saw a space shuttle take off/land.  It surely is amazing, though, that they can be controlled so well and glean so much info from those tiny dots up in the sky.
