Autumn update. Just a couple weeks before it is over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go...
Did your college students learn that song growing up? will you be home for the holidays? Will you be wearing an apron?
Do you usually wear an apron while cooking?
Will your college student be coming home or are you going to pick them up?
How long of a holiday do they have away from school?
Will you be having relatives or friends joining you for Thanksgiving?

will you be home for the holidays? Yes

Will you be wearing an apron? I have a couple but never wear them

Do you usually wear an apron while cooking? nope

Will your college student be coming home or are you going to pick them up? He's 8 miles away; he'll drive himself.

How long of a holiday do they have away from school? Dec 21-Jan 16

Will you be having relatives or friends joining you for Thanksgiving? We'll be going to MIL's, about 15 miles away. DS19 will join us, I think! There are 24 in dh's immediate family, usually 21 of them (all the locals) are here for this, and we all get assigned what to bring.

Hi Sue,
will your son be bringing his girlfriend to your MIL's for Thanksgiving?

You must be a neater cook than me not to wear an apron ;)
Did you inherit any from your mother? did she wear one?

What did you think about Tony LaRussa retiring? Were you surprised?

I'm not sure if I kept my mom's aprons; she did wear them on occasion.

I was surprised about Tony, yes. Sad, but I do understand.

DS's gf will be going home to Chicago for Thanksgiving - I think both will be coming to MIL's birthday party on the 13th if she can get away (nursing student).

"Over the river & thru the woods, to Grandmother's house we go.

The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh, thru rain and wind and snow, OH...

Beside being musicians, we are singers here.

I don't think the boys remember that song although I sang it to them when they were little. We always have Thanksgiving here - my sister and bil and nephew will come and sister and bil will spend the night. I have an apron but never wear it (Sabr - I just wipe my hands on a dishtowel that I keep handy). Jason will drive home that Wednesday night and he goes back Sunday to start class Monday. Not sure of Jason's fiance's family planss so not sure what his availability will be on Thanksgiving. Justin will have to work on Thanksgiving 10:30-7 so we may end up having a late Thanksgiving dinner.
