That's excellent news! Has her "regular" blood pressure been high (did she know this was a problem, or does it not show up on regular blood pressure readings)? I'm happy that it isn't more serious, and I hope it can be well controlled.

Thanks for the update,

Theresa

That's good news, Cheryl. It sounds like a manageable condition. Sending more P&PT for improvement before her doctor appt.

Wow Cheryl! I'm sorry to hear that it is so serious, but it does sound quite treatable at the same time. You must be feeling a range of emotions! How is DD taking it? I know you said before that she didn't really want to talk about things.

Scary stuff, but indeed it sounds MUCH better than some of the other possibilities that I'm sure were going through your mind. I hope your dd is feeling the relief you are...but not so much that she isn't proactive about her health. 15 pounds is hard to lose, but at the same time, it's a lot better than 40 or 50. Having a dd who has battled an eating disorder in the past, and has now tilted in the opposite direction (about 40-50 lbs. overweight), I know how difficult it is to have discussions about weight. I will continue to keep good thoughts for both of you that all goes well at the next visit.
