Well, she had another friend bring her home so she could sleep in her bed.

Sorry that your dd is going through this but it's really for the best - you've had a bad feeling about this from the beginning. She's very young - now she can re-focus on school or a job or whatever and grow into the young woman she was meant to be. Sounds like she has a great support system. Just be there for her when and if she does choose to talk to you. Try not to bad mouth the boy (as much as you may want to). Just listen and love her.

Hi Cheryl,
So sorry for all the turmoil in your family.
Will you be okay financially with reservations made on the wedding?

How is your daughter doing tonight?

Had she planned to work or attend summer school?

Your DD is hurting now, but given everything that you've said about this relationship, I don't think it's a bad thing.

I took back all the stuff we had bought for the reception and wedding.

As painful as that is, in time I hope that proof lets dd know she's made the right decision. Hugs to all.

It is for the best that they broke up and now your dd can get her degree in whatever and move on
in her life.
Your dd should go and do fun things with her friends
