many books so little time ....believing I could read them all ...this is where I spent my lunch hours. Are our bookstores becoming relics of our past?

Do you have a section of your bookstore or library you always run to first?

Sorry; I just order things online from the library, and then just go to the counter to check them out. I have such a long list, it'll take years to get through before I'd have time to browse! (I'm also always listening to a book on CD in the car, also from the library)

Hi Sue,
We had a lunchtime book club... Now we may be meeting at the sub shop.....less books if I have to buy a sandwich!

Do you keep your list online? Is it from suggestions from others or reviews you have read?

Suggestions from friends, mainly, plus just liking certain authors and reading everything that they write! And I've gotten to the point where if a reader is really good for a given author, I'll wait to listen vs. read in book form (such as the lovely lady, Lisette Lecat, that does the #1 Ladies Detective Agency books, or the lady who does the silly Stephanie Plum Janet Evanovich books! I miss new The Cat Who books; George Guidell was so great at reading those aloud. Same with the Harry Potter books and Jim Dale's reading.

I LOVE to read. I only either get books from the library or pick them up at the annual women's book sale at church for a dollar or less. I'm not the type to hang on to books and re-read them so I hate paying a bunch for them. I usually look at the new releases first and then head over to the fiction area.

I do that as well, and not just for me. I always keep an eye out for the kids- right now, ds11 is 80/135 holds for "Inheritance" (the Eragon conclusion, which doesn't hit bookstores until the 8th of Nov) and 111/187
