That looks about like Northwestern's grading scale. WIU was a straight 4.0/3.0/2.0 scale. No plusses or minuses. Perhaps that's one of the differences between a public and private school.
I went to three state universities in NY - two were ONLY A/B/C/D, one used + and -.
Probably similar to my freshman's school.

UF switched to the plus minus after my boys graduated.They give H grades now too for correspondence/online classes that are not on the traditional enrollment/grade schedule.
Found this interesting on repeated courses. If you take the class and do poorly less than a C, both count on your gpa
However if you retake the class with a B or C trying to get higher and get a lower grade the second time, only the first counts... but if you get a D and a D minus they both count!
I don't remember this policy when I went to school. I think every grade counted no matter how many times you took the course.
For dd20's college, it's exactly the same. Dd18's college throws in a D- for 1.3 points. At that point, D or D-, lol, I wouldn't think it much matters!
