We were talking at work yesterday about where we grew up and what folks missed. Do you think some of the traditional foods are all that?
What regional delicacy do you feel should not be missed... Which one is easy to by pass?

Any chicago pizza fans or does ny pizza win out?

Florida orange juice or California?

Have you had poi?

Hmmm., I grew up in Buffalo and I have never had wings. They look gross to me. Beef on weck was really good, but we kept a Kosher home growing up so I only had it a couple of times when I was out with friends.

Now we live north of Philly just across the river from Trenton. There is a pizza called Trenton Tomato Pie that is absolutely heavenly. The big question is which Di Lorenzo brother's pie you prefer.

I have never tried a Philly cheesesteak. It does not appeal to me. Maybe it is the milk and meat together thing that does not appeal to me after all my years of keeping kosher.

I am not a big fan of clams--I just eat them in chowder.

I regret that the last time I was in Montreal I didn't try poutine--just have to go back.

Yea, love crepes. They are so easy to make and much lighter than pancakes. Love them with fruit & maple sirup.

Poutine.. that stuff is heart attack on a plate. Reminds of a stale beer, watching the beloved Canadiennes (i,.e. the Habs, short for habitants)

How was the game Liz? Did you eat a hotdog?

I went to the Gators game Saturday. We have boiled peanuts down here.
Anyone tried them?

Of course I had to eat a hot dog, even though I don't even like hot dogs all that much--it was probably my one for the year.
