We made it another week through September! :smileyhappy: What is everyone doing this weekend? Any special happenings in your town or has your college student filled you in on their plans? Making any special meals tonight or tommorw?

Where is auto spell when I need it! tomorrow tomorrow worked that time:smileywink: We are in Gainesville headed to tailgating at a football game with my youngest and my mom. We brought my mom down for her birthday. UF is playing UK where we went to school. So no matter who wins we have a school to cheer!:smileywink: We came up last night and went out to eat in a 1800's renovated home featuring homestyle southern comfort food...read fried green tomatoes and crab cakes and BBQ shrimp and corny bread. My mom is down until Tuesday to visit and get a little beach time.

DD19 (Amanda) finally got to come home for the weekend! We moved her in Aug. 5, but because of her job she had to remain on campus until now. Her birthday is next Wed., but we are celebrating it this weekend. Today she and I are going out to lunch, to get pedicures and run some errands. DD22 has class all day today. Tonight Amanda is going out with some local friends. Tomorrow will be church, maybe a movie with the family and out to dinner for her birthday. I think she wants Indian food. We'll also be helping Ashleigh with packing. She moves into her apartment next weekend. A busy weekend, but a good one!

DS worked last night and will again tonight (valeting); he said he'd come by tomorrow for dinner and to work on a kinetic sculpture project for school. Otherwise I don't know what he's up to; I've been baking, doing chores, shopping, and doing housework today while dh is out with a buddy for most of the day (hamfest in Peoria), but later we're going to a drive-in to see the latest Eastwood movie, and tomorrow is the Vision Walk, where we're going as I work for an ophthalmic equipment manufacturer - supposed to be mid 60s so should be gorgeous (like today)

Mowed the lawn this morning. I miss my son when it is time to mow the lawn. It is his job over the summer. Next we went to Harvest Day festival in town. Took our Seeing Eye Pup along. He is always a big hit. He is 4.5 months of adorable. Next it is time to make squash soup. Right now I am resting because I ate too much kettle corn at Harvest day. Robin

I read about the hamfest in the local paper today! That would have been fun if you would have come up with your dh - we could have met up. Would still love to meet somewhere half way between - it would be a blast to meet you IRL!

Next year! I can have them drop me off and they can go to the hamfest (I've been to a few; not my cup of tea!)

Ah.....i get it. Now that is twice that I have looked like an idiot responding to one of your posts. Well, actually, I think my version of hamfest sounds much more entertaining.

That's ok - that just reminds me of when I came here to St Louis and they were advertising a 'ham shoot' - which meant people go and hunt stuff and the winner gets a ham. Here I was thinking, what kind of 'sport' is that, a ham doesn't move!
