http://www.miceonmain.com/mousehunthints.html Anybody ever been to Greenville,SC?? We spent last evening on a mouse hunt! They are the cutest ever tiny bronze sculptures, adapted as a project by a child from GoodNight Moon! Do you remember there were nine mice in that book? I am waiting for everyone to meet me this morning we are off to hike Reedy River trail that runs from downtown Greenville past Furman University since the wedding is in the evening. So good to hang out and hear all the nephews and nieces and inlaws news.

Hey Elle.  It's me- Sneakymom1.  I changed screennames b/c we're getting rid of our landline.  To get rid of the landline we had to get rid of Verizon as our ISP.  And since I didn't know if this board would work anymore when my email address attached to it dissapeared- I chose to do a new name.  As an aside- the name stands for "can opener mom"LOL.  If you read Rita Mae Brown's recent Sneaky Pie book (the one where she decides to run for president) she calls her owner "The Can Opener" because- well that's what cats look at you as :)

My parents lived near Greenville for 20 years.  When the girls were little- we went to visit them.  Having nothing better to do we went to downtown Greenville and spent several hours looking for the mice.  We did the Reedy River trail too.  It's such a pretty area of the country.

My mom decided to sell her house, that she bought with my father and lived with him until he passed away 8 years ago :(  It was getting hard for her to take care of- she opted to sell it and move near my sister.  And it's SO frustrating.  She HATES where she's living now.  My sister does too- but she has no choice- my BIL won't have a job if he's not there.  But mom does- I tried to convince her that a better idea would be to sell the house and get a condo near her friends. Or better yet- look for a patio home in a 55+ communtiy.  Wouldn't listen to me- and I didn't push.  SIGH.  And she drives me nuts b/c she tells us AND everyone we know that we need to move.  Can't do it.  Ydd is a sophomore in HS, not making her move.  ODD is in school in Lynchburg- 3.5 hours away.  Not to mention he's the only one right now with steady employment (I temp) and the shipyard's been very good to us.

Ok-I'll get off my soapbox.  Have fun!
