Our boys are home this weekend. Im so happy! We were talking last night and our youngest with the gf popped up and told us that he had gently told his gf that she was bossing him around. The girl did a 360 degree turn and stopped. Im so proud of him for telling her that he felt like he was being bossed. We've told him for years that we teach people how to treat us. He finally understood.

Oh, I figured he'd speak up to her, once he felt safe enough.

That's great - it's OK to be still madly in love when they are both being respectful of the other. And of course there will be times when one or the other may 'boss' a bit more but if it's a consistently one sided thing then it's not good. Glad your ds was able to have have a probably difficult conversation with her and that she was receptive!
