Spring Break, anyone?

When is spring break for your CS?  Are any of your CS's home now?  Do you have plans - or do they?  I know that spring break can be a time for wild and crazy trips - thank goodness I don't have to worry about that anymore!  I remember my older dd went to San Diego for one of her breaks and I was not comfortable with her making the 10-hr. drive by herself so I decided to fly her down just for my own peace of mind.  That same week the son of one of the doctors I worked with was killed in a car accident when he was driving home from So CA by himself and fell asleep at the wheel.  Boy, was I ever glad that I paid for my dd's plane trip!

And on a completely unrelated topic....I just have to share some good news!  My son in law, who has been struggling to find a solid FT job ever since they moved back to Portland over 2 years ago, just got hired for a FT benefitted position.  Dd and her hubby are over the moon!  It has been tough for them for a long time, as she has been supporting them both for the most part.  He will be working for a meat company making deliveries to local high end restaurants.  It is a well established company with opportunities for growth.  Hallelujah!!! Smile

Here, spring break was the week of March 10 (not even spring!).  With ds only making $50/week, no trips for him - he mostly had a lot of work for school to do that week anyway (working on his senior project, etc.)

Great news on SIL!

That's wonderful news for your daughter and SIL!  Everybody can breathe a little easier now.

Spring break?  LOL, they're getting ready for finals which start next week!  DD came home for only a few days.  As she'll have an apartment next year, she may not come home at all.  That's fine, I love visiting her area and now I can save $$ on hotel reservations.  Springtime Florida hotel rates are no joke!!

Jordyn is on the quarter system, so their break in between quarters was their "spring break". They traveled with the team, she had 3 competitions in 6 days, 2 in virginia and one in Texas, it was an exhausting week for them. Congrats to your son in law!!!

Congratulations to your SIL!  That must be such a relief for them.  DD21's spring break was spent in Ireland!  She has 2 friends from college that moved there on a work visa after graduation.  She stayed with one of them for 6 days, and then went off with a tour group for a 4 day tour of southern Ireland.  I'm only slightly jealous Smile
