Congrats to here! That is wonderful! I know my brother is one part away from passing his cap license exam and he has had a hard time getting into an accounting job or internship with no prior experience. You would think that they would remember that at one point in time, no one had experience and everyone needs that "big break" to get any experience.

Congrats to your dd! I think anything in the health profession is the way to go these days - they always seem to be in high demand around here. Doesn't seem like the bar exam time frame has changed much. Jason has an acquaintance that is scheduled to take it next week (or maybe he took it this week). But he won't get the results back until Nov. As far as the long distance relationship - I wonder if young people today just don't see it as a big thing. Jason and his fiance are talking about getting married next summer and then living apart for 6 months to 4 years until she finishes her undergrad degree and possibly goes on to vet school or grad school. We tried to 'coach' them about the timing but they didn't want to hear it!

Congrats to your dd, that's wonderful news. I hope that she is able to find a job quickly. Is there a particular specialty of nursing that she prefers? Would she be willing to relocate?

As for the long-distance relationship, I too think that it would be hard to sustain but current technology sure makes it easier for them to keep in touch.

I think the bar exam takes so long because one of the days of the test is essay exams so they have to be read & graded by humans, where the RN exam is all multiple choice so the computer can give an immediate score.

I did not realize that Jason was engaged.
