Do you have a favorite Sunday song or activity?

Here's hoping your day is off to a good start.

Thanks for joining in the fun on our board!
We need to do a roll call and introduce ourselves to the new members! With summer ending soon, I would love to read about your college students, grads, children and grandkids!
It sure would be interesting to learn what is every one doing!

Sue in St Louis area, married 23 years this year to a guy who works on analyzing BMT data for oncologists at Washington U; I'm a design/manufacturing engineer at a big ophthalmic manufacturer (based in Rochester, NY). DS18 will be a sophomore, working on a BA in studio art and then going on (at least talking at this point) to get his teaching certificate so he can teach art (K-12). He has a gf who he's been sorely missing all summer, who will be visiting next week for his birthday and will then be reuinted when they go back to school around the 27th.

bonus question - I use mechanical pencils

Elle, that's funny about the different ivillage nickname - I thought, "Who's taken over Elle's job?!"

I'm Kelly in NY, married for 21 years to DH.

Pam here in central IL. Married to dh for 28 years. He's a division manager in the IT security division at a large, global company. I worked there for 10 years in the IT organization, quit for awhile to stay home with the boys, then worked part time at our church for 4 years and quit that a year ago. Our boys are 24 and 21. Jason (24 year old) graduated high school in 2005, went to Western IL University for 2 years and then changed majors and transferred to Northwestern up in the Chicago area. He graduated from NU in 2010; since he changed schools and changed majors he had to to take a 'gap' year this past year and is now starting med school at Loyola University near Chicago. We moved him up a couple weeks ago, he had orientation last week, and today is his first official day of class. He's been SO excited. He recently became engage to his girlfriend; although they've only been going out a year they've known each other since they were in high school. We tried to encourage him to wait for awhile to pop the question since med school and residency are going to be very intense but he chose not to take our advice (although he actually did come to us and ask, which he hadn't done in awhile). We'll see how that all pans out....

Pam
