I'm thoroughly exhausted but it was an exhilarating day yesterday, and I'm still basking in the beauty of it all!

Hi calmama,
You are right everyone are stunners! Thanks for taking time out to share with us! Were these photos from the photographer or family snap shots? They really captured great joy!
Did you take this week off work to rest up and spend with your older daughter?

Thanks for sharing, Calmama. You all did, indeed, look stunning. Glad the day turned out well. I'm sure it was somewhat bittersweet for your older dd; hopefully she'll continue to heal and move on.

I'm off the rest of the week and don't return to work until next Wednesday. My nephew is still here and we're taking him out to the coast today for some sightseeing. My sister and her friend are visiting his family in Santa Rosa (north of us), then we will meet in Tahoe on Thursday. My older dd has to go back to work today.

I took the photos (not the one of me and dh, of course!), but the photographer set up the last 2 and I was hovering behind him!

Everyone looks beautiful, and your bride looks very happy.

Calmama! It is great to SEE you for real! I don't think I've seen a photo of you in all these years. You look beautiful - oh, yes, and the bride does too, of course. LOL! Seriously though, everyone looks just picture perfect. I'm so glad that things went smoothly. Congrats!

Actually, sabr, it was in a completely different place and it was a very different type of wedding. Only the vendors were the same. I've asked my older dd if it was hard for her and she insists it wasn't, and she's never let on that it was. I just think she has kind of stuffed her feelings about her own situation, but she's not acknowledged any of that. I'm just glad she's in therapy, where she will hopefully open up in time.

As far as a honeymoon....not happening for awhile, as dd has to be back to work at her new job tomorrow (which was her choice). They spent their wedding night at a nice hotel locally, which was our wedding present to them, and last night at a lovely inn halfway between here and Portland. They are talking about possibly taking a delayed honeymoon in the spring, but not sure if that will happen or not.

LOL, Kelly! I think I may have posted a couple when my first dd got married in '09, but you're right, I kept pretty incognito all the years I posted here, mainly for my kids. I said a lot of pretty revealing stuff about them over the years (as do most of us!) and being the cl, they were pretty aware of this board so I was very careful about posting anything that could get back to them. Now that they are grown - and have developed into successful young women! - I don't care as much! :-)

The first photo I saw of you was one of you on a bike.
