I am very excited to announce this opportunity!

We've been working closely with NBC over the past few weeks to gather your questions and comments for the Education Nation summit in NYC next week. Today we've been given the opportunity for our members to have their education-related questions answered by President Obama!!

The President will be interviewed live by NBC's Matt Lauer on Monday morning at 8am. If you have a question about education that you would like considered for the interview, please submit it soon using the link below.

OK, I did. And THIS is what I asked.

How can you possibly justify making Arne Duncan the US Secretary of Education, and believe he will make education better in the US, when the Chicago School Districts HIS policies developed, supply 17 of the Top 100 Worst Performing Public Schools in the U.S.? http://www.neighborhoodscout.com/neighborhoods/school-district/ratings/worst100/

Not the state of Illinois, but the CITY OF CHICAGO, is responsible for almost 20% of the WORST schools in America. No other city in the nation is responsible for such a large percentage of schools on the list, either bad OR good.

In the State of California, It is more and more competative for our own children to be able to go to college in their own home state. It is even harder for them depending on their own "ZIP CODE"... My husband and I have worked hard to send all four of our children to school and we are in debt! and so are our children, what now? They are all struggling to get jobs and keep them..How will my youngest daughter ever repay her student loans???Will my husband and I ever be able to retire?
