Nathaniel's recent progress report is pretty good.

but a 50 in math.

He started math tutoring about a month ago.

I hate timed tests, My 3rd grader gets these pretty regularly too.. You might ask at your IEP meeting if timed tests are even done at the middle school, If they are not then you have that to look forward to :-). I don't know if my middle school kids get timed tests for math problems or not.... Good luck on May 10th!

We Did get this accommodation. My son was graded on accuracy of the problems he completed instead of have a timed goal. He had to get a 90% in order to move to the next level. His processing speed is low so he cant do well on these timed tests. But get this, he was just tested and his math ability is at the college level and he is in 6th grade!

We have similar issues. Liam is good at math but you'd never know it looking at his report card. He knows his times tables I quiz over and

I like the accommodation you did. I will make note of that to take to the meeting with me. My date has been changed to May 3rd, next week. I went and saw my friend (middle school teacher who is tutoring Nathaniel in Math) today and she gave me some ideas of things to put in the IEP as well. I'm going to make a new post w/ those in it so you ladies can see what I am asking for. I feel really good about it. There is just so much to say I can't get it all in this post and have it all stand out on its own.
