update on special olympics

So I had a follow up meeting on some additional testing and special ed coordinator was there. We discussed the special olympic thing. She says she gets LOTS of those responses from parents each year. It is in part what you normally think of with special olympics but they also include ALL kids on IEP. They use it as a confidence booster. They compete per ability so Liam would be competing against kids like him with average physical ability and the other kids compete against each other. Was still worried about DH reaction but he is OK with it so Liam will do it. Hopefully I will be able to get some time off to see it.
