I pulled my daughter out to due to her disability. But decision I have ever made in my life.

Homeschooling her has made her a completely different child. And I know idf I were to reintro her to school....she would still keep those skills she developed at home with her.

If you choose to pull him out, look for services to help you.

Having a child with a physical disability is much different then having a child with a learning disability. They have much more services availible for children with physcial disabilities.

I have 1 with significant physical disabilities and 1 with severe learning disabilities.

We had some eating/food related outlines for my daughter...she was a former tube feeder also.

And it wasnt just "Okay, its snack time".

It was 1. She needed to be fully supervised by a teacher who knew first aid while she ate. No grade 6ers watching the class whiel the teachers ate.

2. She was allowed to finish eating before being sent out for recess.

3. In NO way was the teacher to etll her (And they never did) to eat such and such first, such and such second. Nor were they to comment negatively on what I was sending her to eat.

If the school wont help, then they either need to be made to by a health plan, or maybe pulling him out until he is further down the road with his eating abilities.
