First marching cometition yesterday

What a long day bad comps are! We got to school at 6:30am, and then got back to school at 10:30pm. It was cold, it rained for about 5 hrs. Our poor band had their field performance in the rain too :( They were 2 time defending champs at this band day, so were feeling the pressure. They took 2nd place in parade, guard, and drumline and 1st place in field...and took home Grand Champion again! Our 8th grade marching band did well too...despite only getting to practice a few times they placed 3rd (they only do parade)
Celyna had a blast, seeing some of the other schools was cool too.

We had our first competition on Saturday as well.

Robin, it is her first year...we just moved here 6 mos ago so she missed the 8th grade season and they didn't do marching band at our previous high school. They needed an extra parent for the bus so I volunteered since Dh had to stay home.
