Can somebody please tell me how on earth I am supposed to pay for these school trips??? One was £1500, another was £855. That's just two out of the list. Thats ontop of my Sons growth rate, food intake, the general up keep and paying of the ever increasing bills.

ARe these trips that are required by the school or just for fun?  I had to look up the conversion rate just out of curiosity and the first trip is almost $2500 (US).  Our high school has vacation trips that kids could take to Europe, for example, and I'm sure that my son might like to go on the trip to Spain since he took Spanish, but financially we just could not afford that kind of expense.  I think if it's a trip that's optional  you should really have him earn some of the money, if possible.

Let's try again, welcome to the board! I agree with musiclover, are these trips optional or required? If they are required, does the school offer some sort of fundraising or assistance to kids that have families that many not be able to afford it? If its something that is extremely important to him, I would suggest having him brainstorm ideas to help raise money to help pay for the trip.
