I don't have any advice but can sympathize with you; my dd turned 18 this past June and is a senior this year.
My BF's DD18 is a senior this year.
Oh my. Are you the legal Payee for your DS? At what point- if ever, do you think DS will be capable of handling money and expenses? Do you know about the reporting obligations if he should get a job and how it will affect his benefits? I think all of the info can be found on the Social Security website. I did a little research for a friend of mine awhile back but her situation wasen't with a student.
I was just having a discussion w/ a friend tonight about how kids think that when they are 18 they can suddenly do whatever they want.
