I know there are some that don't start back until Labor day, but I know some are already starting back, or at least fall sports practices for high school are well under way.

Please give us whatever info you feel comfortable with, number of kiddos, what grades they are in, and what are you/they looking forward to this coming school year??

I have a pretty mixed bag this year as well..

DD16 is a junior this year and with all of her extra activities and soccer I am so releaved that she can drive! So far she loves school and all of her classes and teachers. She has 3 AP classes and is in the 11% of her class so she knows she has alot of work to get into the top 10% this year. We are in TX and the college she wants to attend only guarantees entrance to those in the top 10%.

My youngest DD12 is in 7th this year which is the 1st year of middle school here. It's a big change and so far she loves it!

D15 is a junior in high school and I can hardly believe it.  She returned to school in mid-August and it's taken me until now to accept that summer is really over.   She's already very much back into the rhythm of the school year and life is very busy!

Melissa here with my oldest going into his sophomore year!  He's looking forward to spending more time with friends and having something to do.  He's also thinking about joining the track team in the spring, so we'll have to see how that goes.  I just hope the school year goes better than last year, he started a new ADHD med so I'm crossing my fingers it's more affective.

Hi ladies!  I'm Tracy, your cl.  I hope everyone is doing well!!

I have a mixed bag this year.  The oldest still had about 2 1/2 weeks before she leaves for college, but still just over a month before classes start.  She's excited to get going and already misses all her friends and BF who are gone.  My stepson is 14 and starts his freshman year in Michigan this year, but has been doing football practice for a few weeks.  The youngest two are still little, the middle one starts 1st grade today and the youngest still has one more year of pre-K so we've still got a long road ahead of us.

Our DD 16 is a senior! She's been back at school for a couple weeks. She's in a high school/college hybrid program and she's just totally in love with her college classes this semester. Her friends are teasing her because they are all "done" with school while DD is more excited about school than ever.

She's less enthusiastic about the college application process. She's excited to GO to university but she's stressed about getting into the schools she loves. She's struggling to really find her voice in her essays. We just need to get through fall when most of that stuff will be done.

Hi, Elizabeth in Michigan here.  Mom to Matt, 22; Chris, 20; Greg, 17; and Cathy, 10.   Greg is starting his senior year--school starts on September 3.   We've been looking at colleges this summer (U of Michigan, Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and University of Chicago).  He's kept busy over the summer volunteering at our public library (third year doing this) and running---he ran more than 500 miles this summer.

He's looking forward to everything about senior year--cross country, honors choir, the spring musical, and the three AP classes he's taking!
