She graduates on Saturday (gulp!)

We hosted a grad party for about 100 people in our backyard on Saturday, then went to the Senior Tea (where the kids and parents have a chance to stand up and thank someone publicly--lots of tears!) on Sunday. Tomorrow, she turns 18. Thursday is Class Day (DD, as salutatorian, gives a speech) and prom (found a date at last after breaking up with her boyfriend), and Saturday is graduation. On July 1, that first whopping tuition payment is due (they do give plenty of warning so you can sell off your assets, pets, younger children, etc.)  and on August 23rd, we drop her off for college orientation.

I'm having trouble believing how quickly the time has passed.

Hugs!  That is a whole lot of activity this week!!  Ours was luckily spaced out and I still have until Sept. 21 until she reports to college.  We had graduation this past Friday and it was a wonderful event.  Enjoy all of it as much as you can, it does go by so very quickly!!!
