I came across a site with a topic that I wanted to respond to.  To respond a person needed to log in using Facebook.  At first some might say so what?  Since Facebook insist on true names it is not private at all.

Everything on the web stays in the web it could has negative effects down the road.  There are what is called data miners.  These are programs       running an algorithm that can find and recognize any individual.   An opinion given in public forum or picture can be brought up years later.  As the ideology of Political Correctness is still with us it is important to give a heads up.

Yes definitely an important thing to remind not only teens, but adults also.  I won't comment if it requires a FB log in.  While I am happy and proud of my opinions, politics or whatnot, that doesn't mean I always want it out there in full sight for anyone who can search well enough to find it.

You know, that's a really good point! Just the other day, I commented on an article somewhere (can't even remember what site it was..maybe mashable) and was appalled that my full name appeared next to the comment. I quickly realized it was b/c of the FB login and had to really look around for the place to enter a screen name to use instead. I'm betting a lot of teens would not put the time/effort into making sure their real name isn't used.
