Welcome to the board Melissa! That first high schooler always seems to be a shocker! Sounds like you are really going to have your hands full next year!

Have the twins always been in the same classes?

Thanks for the welcome, Tracy! The twins have only been in the same class in kindy and 5th. As much as they didn't want to share a class this year, it's worked out well since they'll be in some of the same classes in middle school. It's been a good learning experience for them; they tend to behave better when they aren't together ;) Next year is going to be a bit nuts, I'm sure I'll be checking their online grades frequently just to make sure they are keeping up with their assignments.

Hi Ramona :) Talk about a change, I'm trying not to think of college yet, that's even more scarier! Is your daughter excited for it, does she know what she wants to study?

Devin isn't too excited yet about high school, although I was getting there at the meeting. I just hope it's a good experience for him.

My ds is so excited about high school, he sees all the fun his sister has had. He also planning to join teams and clubs. My dd is so excited about college. She is majoring in biology and physics, wanting to teach high scool science.

That's awesome that she wants to be a teacher :) The principal encouraged all the parents to get their kids to join at least something in high school so that they can get the real experience and feel a sense of belonging. I hope that he can find his niche, they have so many activities. He's really excited about taking CAD design.

This high school wants every kid at least in one activity. Dd has helped with the theater, played sports and is in six clubs. So, it can be done.

My 14 YO is my oldest and she'll start HS next year too, You're lucky that your high school already had a meeting as we won't meet there (nor will she get a visit) until May! I'm a little leary of what to expect and I want her as prepared as possible for high school AND beyond.
