Beth's gymnastics coaches wanted me to bring her to the doctor to make sure there was nothing wrong with her wrist--she's been complaining of wrist pain off and on for the past 2 weeks--never hurts at home and only after tumbling at gymnastics. I've been having her rest it when it hurts alot, use ibuprofen and ice it.
Doctor x-rayed it and no break or fracture--yeah! She said it was probably a sprain. Doesn't hurt it to keep up with gymnastics--just might delay total recovery a bit. And how to treat it? Yes, rest if it really hurts, use ibuprofen and ice it (am I a genius or what?). Yes, I spent $15 co-pay to be told to do what I'm doing LOL! (but the peace of mind knowing nothing is wrong is worth it, right?)
And while we were there, she got the flu shot this year and her last gardasil shot (which they apparently now recommend for boys too--Luke will be thrilled). Had to get the flu shot versus the nasal stuff as she's got a cold. She was not thrilled, but was expecting it!

Yep, better to know than not go in....hopefully she heals quickly.

<no breaks are always good!!
To be honest, I've never heard of it! But it did a quick search and found:
http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/thoracic/thoracic.htm
It's a National Institute of Health website, so it's not a sketchy organization or anything--I would imagine it's information in correct.
Hope if this is, that yours is a treatable type!
Thanks Cathi,
The Dr isn't fully saying that I have it.
